History
Debut
Mark was introduced to tennis by his father and began playing at 6yo.
Career
In 1994, Mark turned professional. He has won 10 singles and 3 doubles career titles. Mark reached the final of the US Open Singles in 1998. Before 2003, Mark suffered from chronic knee injuries interrupting his career. In 2003, Mark finished in the Top Ten in tennis for the first time in his career and again became the No.1 Australian for the first time since 1995.
Wimbledon
Mark has played Wimbledon 8 times and finished runner-up in 2003. His best Wimbledon doubles performance was making the semi finals in 1996.
Davis Cup
He was a member of the winning Davis Cup teams in 1999 and 2003 in which he pulled off a miraculous five set win against world No.3 Juan Carlos Ferrero to seal Australia's victory.
