Craig switched from the triathlon to athletics in 1999 only after coming to the conclusion that training for triathlon's three disciplines would interfere with studying for his Higher School Certificate.
Other interests: Craig is a former Australian junior triathlon champion and represented Victoria in the triathlon in 1997 & 1998.
